Genesis of Utsav
SGBS Trust initiated its activities through Utsav in a small way in 1978. Since then, every year the festival features cultural performances from the best known names in the country. Every Gokulashtami, Bangalore awaits a culturally enriching and spiritually stimulating bonanza, Utsav.
In 1993, SGBS Trust began the Thyagaraja and Purandaradasa Aradhana concerts where reputed and acknowledged artistes give performances in the first quarter of the year. It also initiated monthly concerts every first Sunday to encourage the budding artists in vocal and instrumental music.
