| At Unnati, we have consistently cherished the concerts of Sri.O S Arun. He possesses a unique ability to elevate his performances beyond mere entertainment, transforming them into profound devotional experiences. His skillful engagement with the audience, combined with the remarkable response from the listeners as they immerse themselves in taala and sruthi, is an experience in its own right. We all hold it dear and eagerly anticipate more from him each year. On the violin, we had Sri. Mahadeva Sharma providing excellent support. Dr. Thiruvarur Bhaktavatsalam, on the mridangam, was truly incomparable, infusing the concert with unparalleled energy and execution. The young Sri. Giridhar Udupa matched every stroke of the maestro and received personal appreciation from him too on stage for the same. The audience expressed their appreciation with a standing ovation, both for him and Sri. Giridhar Udupa on the ghatam, following the exhilarating tani. |
