TM Krishna

The name T M Krishna evokes a plethora of emotions in the rasika, each one being profoundly special and memorable. Judging by the Saturday crowd that swarmed the venue – a day when the average Bangalorean has myriad options to choose from – they all flocked eagerly in significant numbers to hear their favorite artist.

Both young and old are drawn to him, appreciating his unassuming demeanor and his flamboyant singing style, which not only carries deep traditional roots in its delivery but also breaks new ground in numerous impactful ways that resonate with many.

TM krishna started with Ninne Namminaanyu in Thodi and elaborated on other ragas like Begada, Mukhari and Churutti.Sri H K Venkatram on the violin rendered exceptional support, enhancing Krishna's nuances beautifully while showcasing his creative excellence simultaneously.

Kum Ashvini on the mridangam was accompanying Sri Krishna for the first time, being a student of the legend Sri T K Murthy; she aptly justified the trust placed in her. Sri Chandrasekar Sharma on the ghatam accompanied with elegance and sensitivity.
