The students evinced great interest in the projects and have given us reports on the above projects. Unnati is exploring ways to implement some of the projects. We thank the students for their work.
2. A team of 68 students from Christ University interned at Unnati on 3 different days (27th Jan,3rd Feb and 24th Fe.14) The students were very enthusiastic and completed a variety of work which would benefit the organization. We thank them immensely.
3. Leadership Workshop A One day leadership workshop was conducted on 1st Jan 14 for the 41st Batch and on 20th March for the 42nd Batch. These workshops are always liked by students as they consists of a lot activities, role plays and other interactive sessions. These also benefit them in terms of improving their personality and self confidence.
4. Memory Session:
5. Art Of Living: A one day Art of Living classes was as usual conduced for 41st batch on 16th Jan. 14 and for 42nd batch on 27th Mar. 14. This is the day when students are made to realise their full potential and are energised to bring in their best. The students also learn to laugh loud, clap and appreciate others. Students also learn the importance of prayer and its meaning and message.
6. Debate: Unnati conducts two day long debates for every batch- one on ’employment’ and the other on ‘social issues’. The debate for 41st batch was conducted on 24th Jan.14 and for42nd batch on 31st Mar. 14 The students are divided into groups- one group arguing ‘for’ and another group ‘against’. The employment debate would include issues like 1. Is it good to one’s career to continue in the job or quit in a short span of time. 2. Whether savings is better than spending etc.
The social issue debate acquires a more interesting tone as students love to participate and express their ideas on issues such as, a.Whether women should marry early or late. b. Whether its good for women to take up job to be economically independent. c. Is an arranged marriage is better than a love marriage. The debate opens up to showcase their ideas, their debating skills, expression etc., and is enjoyed by every student. These activities also acts as a refreshing change from their regular classroom sessions.

My father sent me to Unnati after seeing the newspaper ad and also based on a relative’s recommendation. I was not interested to join Unnati initially because we were told that we had to be in Unnati from 8 am to 8 pm . First few days I was just thinking I will not be able to manage, I used to think how will I be able to manage 70 days. But everything turned beautiful once the classes started and as days went by I got more and more interested in attending classes. Intitially I used to call my mother and cry. I used to call her twice or thrice daily but later I started calling her once a week which made her surprised. The classes were so interesting that I didn’t have time to call my mother. I wanted a job as I was from a very poor family, I wanted to support my parents and wanted to stand on my own legs. I started working hard. I have not seen a training centre like Unnati. The teachers are awesome, they take utmost care and are friendly. They teach us in such a way that even the dullest student is able to understand and is ready to talk in English. I was not knowing what is lifeskills before joining Unnati, that has really transformed my life. I am thankful to Unnati for this. I have learnt and improved in all these areas after joining Unnati.
I. Confidence
II. Stage fear
III. How to face problems
IV. Spoken English
V. Life skills
VI. How to attend an interview
VII. Analytics
VIII. Computer
IX. Computer typing.
I was very afraid to take up interviews, but gained confidence by the motivation from my teachers. I attended TCS interview and was selected after 5 rounds of interview. It was a dream coming true. I will try to donate some money to Unnati. I will also send many students to Unnati. I am grateful to all teachers and staff who have brought in the transformation in my life. Too good. Thanks, thanks, thanks.
