Journey from poverty to corporate world

Mohd Abdul Khadar comes from Shahabad ,Gulbarga district.He had finished his tenth and was working as an assistant at his uncle’s Electrical appliance shop for three years.Then he heard about Unnati through a friend and underwent training here.After this training  he has been placed at Hill Rock Cafe at Puttaparthi, Anantapur District,he has been offered a decent salary with free furnished accommodation .He has undergone training under Retail 1. He says that after this training he is confident that he will be able to support his family of six members which includes his father who is a welder,mother , three sisters and a younger brother.He says that Unnati has trained him in Life skills and values which will help him in his future.Before coming to Unnati he  has never stood in a queue, he has learnt to maintain hygiene and to respect elders.Unnati is an NGO that is into Youth empowerment. Till date more than 1700 youth have benefited from this program. This group of empowered youth are coming back to Unnati on 3rd December to share their journey from poverty to professional life. These real life heroes are coming togethor inspire many deserving underprivileged youth to shed their inhibition and embrace prosperity.Abdul’s beaming face shows how thrilled he is to be empowered
