Welcome Note

The second quarter of every year is very special for all of us, the pitter patter raindrops that bring the much needed break from the scorching sun brings music to the ears too. While a generous monsoon from nature resonates the ragas “Malhar” or “Amritavarshini”, that help to fulfil the growing needs of mankind, the resoundingly successful music fest “Utsav”, which brings the celebration of music in a classic style, alleviates the year long drought of an elaborate event dedicated to music, culture and devotion. The much appreciated monthly concerts are definitely the intermittent showers of this great art.

” Excellence is not being the best, doing your best.

Editorial:

— the most famous quotation by the great Greek Philosopher Aristotle holds good even today. A simple thought on what makes this 2000 year old statement valid and relevant in the fast changing modern times gives a great insight into a lot of things..

” The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential… these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence. “ – Confucius

Name : Ghouse Pasha Vocation : Retails Batch : 43rd Batch

I hail from a poor family from Tumkur. My family comprises of my father who is an LIC Agent, mother a housewife and me. My father sent me to Unnati after seeing the newspaper ad and also based on a relative’s recommendation. Basically, I was very naughty and did not have any interest in studies. I had no interest in joining Unnati initially, because I was told that I had to be in Unnati from 8 am to 8 pm . First few days were really difficult for me and I was just not able to adjust to this place. I could not think of spending 70 days in Unnati. But everything turned beautiful once the classes started and as days passed I got more and more interested in attending classes. Everyone in Unnati was living like one family. I slowly started developing interest in the classes. I did not know what life skills was before joining Unnati. This is the centre where I improved my life skills and this was the turning point of my life. The teachers are very friendly and caring. They teach us in such a way that even the dullest student is able to understand and is ready to talk in English. Unnati has really transformed my life. I am very thankful to Unnati. I have learnt and improved in all these areas after joining Unnati.

  • I. Punctuality

  • II. Self Confidence

  • III. Overcoming Stage fear

  • IV. Spoken English

  • V. Respect to People

I was in blank state before coming to Unnati, I was very shy and not very communicative. I was not aware of any basic skills and Computer Knowledge. I learnt a lot at unnati, in the classes. I have learnt about field services and how to communicate with customers.

  • I am now able to communicate without hesitation.

  • I now have courage, energy and determination to achieve anything in my life which is what I have learnt in Unnati.
