SGBS Trust has been selected as one of the 20 partners to implement the IICA certificate program in CSR ( ICP in CSR), designed by the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs. We are presently the only agency in the entire South to be selected for the implementation of this course.

This is a very special course being designed by the Institute. The intent is to deliver CSR professionals to the corporate and NGOs’ who have proper knowledge of the rules and guidelines under the historic law the Govt of India has passed. The CSR law which makes companies share 2% of the profit in CSR initiatives is mandatory and the first of its kind in the world. The training will help the professional list activities and plan CSR programs for their companies to ensure that both the company and the society benefits.

As an implementing partner we have a huge responsibility to promote the program and deliver it properly to get the best trained professionals for CSR activities. There is a lot of effort which is going into designing an excellent and effective course material.

This has far reaching effects and as an organisation this kind of a tie up is bound to help us immensely in future and will do a lot of good for the credibility of Unnati. It is a 9 month course with over a lakh as fees payable to the Govt with proper certification at the end of the training. The plan is to roll out the program from April 2014.

We look forward to your support in spreading the word around. Corporates could sponsor candidates to the program. Please find the pics capturing the moment as we signed the agreement in Delhi. The people involved are Dr.Bhaskar Chatterjee, Director General & CEO, Mr.Atul Dev Sarmah and Mr.Nikhil Pant along with their team.
